Tottenham Hotspur Football Club and TUMI announced today a new partnership designating TUMI as an Official Partner of the Club’s pre-season tour to Korea this July (2022).

TUMI will join forces with Spurs to provide business class travel suits and accessories for the team, as well as an official in-flight duty-free shopping experience. This will be the first time the company has partnered with a sports team in Europe.

Upon the team’s arrival in Seoul, TUMI will present a high-end travel suit and accessory set to each player on the team. It will also provide a unique experience for Club staff travelling to and from the U.S. this August.

It becomes the second Official Partner of the Club, joining AIA, and will be featured on team merchandise and at www.tottenhamhotspur.com/tumi

With the new partnership, the company becomes an active partner in the Spurs’ youth development program, offering unique benefits and experiences for U18, U19, and U23 Academy players.

Each Tottenham Hotspur tour team member will receive personalised products to ease their journey, featuring a variety of gear, including the brand’s iconic Alpha Bravo Search Backpack and 19 Degree Extended Trip Expandable 4 Wheel Packing Case, both comprised with recycled materials.

The company has already partnered with Tottenham Hotspur’s Premier League Golden Boot winner, Son Heung-min. As an Official Partner, this expands the association with Son and gives him the chance to rally for his teammates.

Son has already featured in TUMI ads and there is speculation that the company may also partner with Harry Kane, who was the Premier League Golden Boot winner in the 2017/18 season. TUMI is a luxury brand, so partnering with Premier League stars is an ideal fit.

Speaking about his Club’s new partnership with TUMI, Son said: “I’m so happy that my partner, TUMI, is supporting my Club this summer for our tour. I’m excited to have my teammates join me in my home country. It’s perfect for them to arrive in style thanks to TUMI.”

“We are committed to perfecting the journey and have been long inspired by Son’s unwavering dedication to be the best he can be, both for his team and representing his home country. We couldn’t be more thrilled to expand our partnership to support his full team on this momentous trip and look forward to welcoming them to Korea,”

Jay Jeong, Brand Head of TUMI Korea

Tottenham Hotspur’s Pre-Season Tour of South Korea includes two matches in the Coupang Play Series. Firstly against Team K League at the Seoul World Cup Stadium on July 13, and then against Sevilla FC at the Suwon World Cup Stadium on July 16, 2022.

Both matches are already sold out.

The first-ever meeting between the two sides took place in October 2018 when Spurs travelled to Sevilla. The Spanish side triumphed 3-2 courtesy of a last-minute winner.

About Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham Hotspur are also known as Spurs and are an English football team currently playing in the Premier League. The club was founded in 1882, and they play their home games at Wembley Stadium.

They are the only team to have won the FA Cup (1961) and the Football League Trophy ( 1999) while playing at a stadium that they do not own. In the past, they have won the League Cup ( 2008) and the European Cup Winners’ Cup ( 1963). Their current stadium was originally called White Hart Lane and opened in 1899. In 2017, the naming rights were sold to AEG and it was renamed the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

At the time of writing, Spurs are fresh from the signing of Richarlison on a 5-year deal from Everton for £60m.

“We are delighted to announce the signing of Richarlison from Everton, subject to a work permit. The Brazilian international has signed a contract with us until 2027.

Richarlison, 25, has made 173 Premier League appearances to date, scoring 48 goals, during spells at Watford and Everton since making the switch from Fluminense in August, 2017.

Born in Nova Venécia, the versatile attacker began his youth career at Real Noroeste and América Futebol Clube before making his professional debut in July, 2015.

He joined Fluminense in January, 2016, scoring 11 goals in 46 appearances and was named in the Campeonato Carioca Team of the Year after helping his side reach the final of the competition in his second season.”
